ACE Constellations
Constellations is a committee that partners with Singapore Boys’ Hostel (SBHL) to empower residents through music and meaningful engagement. We believe in using music as a tool for expression, connection, and personal growth. We want to equip the boys with basic musical skills and create a safe space for self-expression and meaningful conversation.

Pre-engagements
Pre-engagement 1: sharing by Brandon from Singapore Boys’ Hostel on the hostel programme and community of youths facing adversity to gain a better background understanding on the boys we will be interacting with
Pre-engagement 2: exploring different difficulties we may face, setting personal goals and trying out simple guitar chords together
Engagement & Impact
During engagement sessions, CAPTains connect with youths facing adversity at Singapore Boys’ Hostel through trying out the guitar together. The boys may start with certain songs they listen to often, engaged in cheerful yet fulfilling learning experience and bridging friendships. While many may not be proficient at guitar playing from the start, what matters is growing together and supporting one another to overcome difficulties to hopefully discover a new passion.
CAPTains gain perspective on the community of youths facing adversity. They may also form new friendships through interactions with both fellow CAPTains and the boys at Singapore Boys’ Hostel
