CE Fest 2019 Facilitator Recruitment

Hello CAPTains!

Signups for CE Fest Facilitators has opened!

What is CE Fest?
Community Engagement (CE) is an integral part of CAPT’s vision. CE Festival is the annual flagship event of CAPT which celebrates the uniqueness of different communities, community engagement and relationships forged with our partners.

During the event, we hope to bring people from different communities to interact and learn. Through our activities, we hope that they may gain a better understanding of one another.

Following the last iteration of CE Fest, CE Fest 2019 will organise various trails which focus on meeting, engaging and learning from the communities on the ground. To find out more about CE Fest, head to: https://www.instagram.com/cefest2019

MYCAT 2019 Signups

Looking for a short CAPT trip to kick off your summer break? CAPT MYCAT is back again!

CAPT MYCAT 2019
When? 5D4N trip from 10-14 May 2019

Where? Taman Negara National Park, Pahang, Malaysia

We will be doing 2 CATwalks over 2 days, organised and conducted by official guides from MYCAT (Malaysia Conservation Alliance for Tigers). CATwalk is essentially a full day trek along specifically the Sungei Yu Tiger Corridor, where we not only get to bask in the splendid of nature but also be able to engage in efforts to reduce the occurrence of poaching in the forest. Total cost of the trip is SGD 400++ (excluding subsidy from CAPT, includes meals, accom, transport and programme fee)

CAPTSLAM 4.0 Exco Recruitment

Hey Captains! CAPTSLAM is back and we are looking for the following exco members:
1. Admin/Finance Head
2. Logistics Head
3. Publicity Head

CAPTSLAM 4.0 is a mentoring project in Semester 2 with Queensway Secondary School. It is a meaningful opportunity to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and do something good for a community you might not always engage with: youth who might require guidance and support from an older sibling figure.

The programme will start with a short 2D1N camp from 15th – 16th March. Sessions will be held on subsequent Saturday mornings (until 20th April). There’ll be one more session on 18th May before an overseas trip to Cambodia from 6th – 10th June.

Community Engagement (CE) is one of CAPT’s vision, and CE Day aims to provide that platform for freshmen during FOC’19.

Welcome Back Dinner 2019

CALLING ALL CAPTAINS!

The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) is proud to present the Welcome Back Dinner 2019!

As part of the event, we will be having a series of Scavenger Hunts. Clues of locations of coupons will be released every day and those who find the coupons will be entitled to a limited edition customised CAPT collar pin on the day of the event itself!

In addition, please report the number of coupons you collected to your House Heads!

Each day, 20 coupons will be hidden in one location from 15 Jan to 21 Jan (5 weekdays)

What’s more? The first house who will collect their dinner will be the house with the most number of collected coupons.

We only have 100 of these badges, so grab your friends and go find these coupons ASAP. (1 coupon can only be redeemed once by each CAPTain. This means that even if you find, eg: 5 coupons, you are only entitled to one badge! So grab your friends and find those badges together !!! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦)

Meanwhile, for those who have yet to register themselves, do significant up for a night of 🎤 fun and 🎮 games, along with performances by each individual house and some of our IGs 🙂
